Ventura County Credit Union offers a competitive array of benefits to all full and part time employees. You'll find a partial list below.

 

Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance

  • 90% of HMO coverage or equivalent buy up cost for PPO coverage for all full-time employees. Part-time employees are eligible at higher premium - they receive the same coverage cost as full-time employees after 1 year of service.
  • 50% HMO coverage or equivalent buy up cost for PPO coverage for eligible dependents. Coverage for dependents of part-time employees are eligible at a higher premium – they receive the same coverage cost as full-time employees after 1 year of service.

401(k) Program 

  • For all eligible participants in the plan we contribute 3% of your annual salary after 90 days of service.

Life Insurance 

  • 100% of the cost is covered by VCCU.
  • There are two policies – one with a flat sum of $25,000 to the beneficiary, while the second provides twice the annual salary to the beneficiary.

Long-Term Disability and AD&D Insurance

  • 100% of the cost is covered by VCCU.

Employee Assistance Program

  • Confidential Counseling 24 hours a day via EAP professionals.

Sick Leave

  • Sick Leave is at a rate of 1 hour per 26 hours worked for all employees.

Vacation Pay

  • Beginning with about two weeks annually for all full-time employees and about one week annually for part-time employees – the accrual builds with additional years of service.

Jury Duty Pay

  • Ten days after 90 days of service.

Holiday Pay

  • Ten holidays per year and two floating holidays (Birthday & Holiday Float). 

Bereavement Leave

  • Five days leave are available.

Paid Volunteering 

  • Paid time to volunteer during the work day up to a maximum of 40 hours for full-time employees and 20 hours for part-time employees per calendar year.

Tuition Reimbursement

  • After one year of service, up to $3,000 annually for approved college courses for full time employees and up to $1,500 annually for part-time employees.

Employee Referral Bonus 

  • $250 after referral completes 90 days of employment.

BALANCE Program

  • Free debt management, savings planning and money management counseling.

Benefits Plus

  • Free employee benefit that provides discounts for travel, dining, entertainment, etc.

Discounted & Free Financial Services

  • The processing and underwriting fee will be waived for employees financing an owner-occupied property.

Consumer Loans

  • Employees will receive a .25% discount off the qualifying rate on all fixed rate consumer loans. Employee loan requests are subject to standard underwriting and credit guidelines. The employee discount on consumer loans does not apply to promotional loans/rates, credit cards or variable rate loans.

Computer Loans

  • After 90 days a $2000 interest-free loan is available.

Logo Attire

  • We provide employees with a VCCU logo shirt annually at no cost to wear on Fridays.  Other attire may be purchased.
